What is the "building" framing made of, ie: steel, aluminum, wood?

A combination of steel and aluminum, to the best of my knowledge. No leaks at all.

Do you know the total weight of the unit?

Less than 4000lbs. Without our equipment I believe it weighed in at 2600lbs.

Is the hitch detachable?

Yes.

Does the A/C unit work properly?

Yes.

What kind and how old is the ice shaver

The brand is "real snow block ice shaver" from sno shack. Not sure of the year so I apologize for that. It is an older model. We keep it as our back up, functioned fine last time we used it.
