How does UsedVending work?
You provide us with information about your equipment, photos, and the amount you want to receive from
the sale. UsedVending creates and advertises the listing, handles incoming buyer inquiries, and helps
coordinate the transaction.
When a serious buyer is ready to move forward, we work with both parties to help coordinate questions,
offers, inspections, financing, payment, paperwork, pickup, and transportation.
What are the steps for listing and selling my equipment?
The basic process is:
- Provide the equipment details, photos, location, and the amount you want to receive.
- UsedVending prepares and publishes your listing.
- We advertise the equipment and handle incoming buyer inquiries.
- We contact you when a serious & qualified buyer needs more information, makes an offer, or is ready to purchase.
- Buyer places a deposit and seller agrees to hold item for buyer.
- The buyer and seller sign agreements on the final transaction terms.

Does the buyer contact me or UsedVending?
Your contact information is never shared online or with someone who just inquires.
We protect your time and will not send tire kickers out to waste your time.
UsedVending handles the inquiries online or by phone.
This prevents you from having to deal with casual shoppers, repetitive questions, suspicious messages, and
unqualified buyers.
When we have a commited buyer with funds available & deposit placed showing they are serious, we will
share contact information with both of you.
How much does UsedVending charge?
You tell us the amount you want to receive from the sale. UsedVending adds a broker fee on top of your
price to create the advertised list price. The fee ranges between 7% to 15% on most items, but on vending
machines is a set fee per machine.
You will receive 100% of the price you list or agree to if we bring buyer negotiations. Our broker fee is not
deducted from your price.
Why will the advertised list price be higher than the amount I want?
The amount you provide is what you want to receive from the sale. The advertised list price includes the
UsedVending broker add-on.
That add-on covers services such as preparing and advertising the listing, handling buyer inquiries, helping
qualify buyers, and coordinating the transaction.
We don’t make a dime unless we sell your item. And you don’t pay us.
Do you provide recommendations on how to price my equipment?
Please browse the category of your item and see how similar items are priced. Keep in mind, those live
items have our markup included. Pay attention to factors such as:
- Equipment type
- Age and condition
- Features and upgrades
- Location
- Similar equipment currently for sale
- Current buyer demand
The final amount you choose to list at is your decision. However, pricing above what the market supports
can substantially increase the time it takes to sell.
Can I advertise or sell my equipment somewhere else?
Yes. You may continue advertising and attempting to sell your equipment elsewhere while it is listed with
UsedVending.
Just notify us or mark it sold in your seller dashboard if the equipment is sold.
How long does it usually take to sell?
There is no guaranteed selling timeframe. Some equipment sells quickly, while other items may take several
months or longer.
The largest factors include:
- Price
- Condition
- Equipment type
- Location
- Quality of the photos
- Completeness of the listing
- Seasonal demand
- Seller response time
- Whether the title and paperwork are ready
A competitively priced item with clear photos and complete information has the best chance of selling
sooner.
Does UsedVending offer financing to buyers?
Third-party financing options are available to qualified buyers.
Financing approval, down-payment requirements, interest rates, loan terms, and funding times are
determined by the third-party lender, not UsedVending.
Providing financing options can help expand the number of buyers who may be able to purchase your
equipment.
Will I have to deliver or ship the equipment?
You are not normally required to personally deliver the equipment unless you voluntarily agree to do so.
The buyer may:
- Pick up the equipment personally
- Hire a professional transportation company
- Make another arrangement that you agree to
Transportation costs and arrangements are generally the buyer’s responsibility.
How will I get paid?
The buyer pays you directly in most cases. The buyer pays UsedVending a deposit (our markup) and pays
you in full at pickup. There are special conditions where we escrow funds if needed such as transport deals
or delays from improper title issues.
The payment method should be agreed upon before pickup. Speak with your rep about the safest payment
methods to request.
How soon will I receive the money?
On buyer pickups, the buyer will arrive with full payment and do an inspection. If satisfied, buyer will pay
you and leave with the item.
On 3rd party transport deals where UsedVending escrow service is handling the funds, you’re paid via
money wire on the same day. Just be sure we have received full payment from the buyer before releasing
the item.
Of course, everything is planned out with you beforehand and agreed to in a step-by-step plan for how the sale,
pickup, payment, and any other needs will occur.
