Could you please confirm the GVWR and the axle ratings (for example, 2 x 3,500 lbs or 2 x 5,200 lbs)? I just want to be sure of the total weight capacity for my equipment before moving forward. Thanks!
I was not sure my self so I had to look it up. This is what came up: Trailer Empty Weight (a.k.a. curb weight): 2,800 lbs
• Capacity (payload): 1,200 lbs
• Estimated GVWR (empty + payload): ≈ 4,000 lbs (2,800 + 1,200)
• Axle Setup: Double axle (tandem)
• Rim Size: 13”
Since it’s a tandem axle trailer, the load is split across two axles. If the GVWR is around 4,000 lbs, that usually means each axle is rated for about 2,000 lbs.
⚠️ However:
• Most tandem axle food trailers are built with 3,500 lb axles each (giving a 7,000 lb GVWR).
• Your plate doesn’t list GVWR explicitly, so it seems the manufacturer limited this model to 4,000 lbs total.
👉 Bottom line:
• GVWR: ~4,000 lbs
• Axle Rating (per axle): ~2,000 lbs each
