Seller notes: We’ve owned our bus since 2012 and have put a lot of love and care into it. It was originally our daily driver and our camper bus. But it was completely gutted and outfitted to serve as a vending truck by a reputable food truck business in Maryland.
It has the standard 3-sink compartment and hand washing sink with water heater and an additional drinking water sink with filter and pedal levers. Clean water tank with pump and gray water tank with drain. Custom 200 lbs ice bin with drain and sliding door. Prep table and serving counter and lots of storage space, and shelves overhead. Serving window with an additional exterior fold down counter and awning. LED lighting and plenty of outlets for all of your equipment. Generator powered with a custom generator box attached to the hitch (generator included needs to be serviced or replaced).
The roof was extended 2 ft to be able to stand inside at 6 ft high, the extension was reinforced with a steel frame. All stainless steel interior for easy cleaning. Enter through the front doors, as expected the work space is small, ideal for 1 person operation but can fit 2 people. No AC or heating, but has 4 windows with good cross ventilation. Due to the complexity of converting this bus the hatch door doesn’t prop open automatically, it has to be held with a stick.
Rust on floor and door panels was removed and replaced with new metal and the exterior repainted after the conversion. Our bus has been regularly maintained by a veteran VW mechanic since 2012. Currently there’s an oil leak that you would need to fix. Sometimes it takes a while to start when it’s cold, but there's no other known mechanical issue. We have all maintenance records if requested. Washington DC has some of the most strict food truck restrictions in the country and our bus has passed all of them.
Please carefully review the diagram provided for your equipment space needs. Not ideal for a food business since it is small and would be hard to fit additional cooking equipment.
