No service was done to the transmission; there are no leaks, and the oil in it is at the full level.
The brakes are working, no shoes and discs are low, and no ABS or brake warning lights are on.

Is it ready and safe to travel long distances?
Yes, it is safe to travel long distances; it does not have any known issues and have been serviced, and there are no engine services light on or airbag or brake or any leading indicator that there is any issue
It appears the inside of this truck has been newly renovated, but I understand the model is a bit older (2004)—is there any mechanical damage or major wear-and-tear we should be aware of on the run/drive of the vehicle itself?
The truck is in very good condition and have no damages which I am aware of. In its previous life, the vehicle was religiously maintained because it transported small kids
